About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support high-profile transaction advisory projects for infrastructure funds, private equity firms, banks, and energy companies
- Contribute to buy-side, sell-side, and project financing due diligence that influences major investment outcomes
- Help expand ERM’s Infrastructure M&A service line, strengthening our position in a fast-growing market
- Collaborate with a global network of 80+ M&A consultants, SMEs, and Partners
- Deliver insights that balance technical rigor, commercial viability, and sustainability considerations
- Support the development of proposals, including scopes of work, schedules, and commercial terms
- Execute technical due diligence projects, providing operational, technical, and business plan evaluations
- Coordinate project activities, including Q&A processes, management sessions, client meetings, and final report delivery
- Collaborate with ERM’s technical experts and external SMEs to deliver integrated project outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Infrastructure M&A service line
- Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and client communication throughout project delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in technical consulting, engineering, or operations within energy or infrastructure sectors
- Strong ability to analyze technical documentation and identify risks/opportunities related to asset integrity, operational performance, management systems, and business plans
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- High attention to quality and commitment to delivering accurate, client-ready outputs
- Experience understanding and breaking down process flow diagrams.
- Master's degree in Engineering (preferred)
- Experience managing or supporting complex, multi-workstream projects (preferred)
- Exposure to technical due diligence or transaction advisory (preferred)
- Corporate finance qualification or strong commercial awareness (preferred)
- Understanding of Capex and Opex cost structures for infrastructure and energy assets (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits (preferred)
