About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support environmental and biodiversity due diligence, monitoring, and compliance activities for international and domestic development projects
Contribute to environmental and social impact assessments, including preparation of technical analyses and reports
Assist clients in developing and implementing ESG strategies and performance improvement programs
Conduct literature reviews, data analysis, field investigations, and technical research to support project delivery
Prepare high-quality reports, recommendations, and client deliverables that meet ERM’s standards for quality, budget, and schedule
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ERM’s global Sustainable Finance network
Support project managers in delivering multiple concurrent projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Participate in international travel and field assignments, including work in remote locations when required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Finance, Sustainable Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
2-3 years (3–5+ years preferred) of consulting or related professional experience supporting sustainable finance, ESG, environmental management, international development, or similar fields
Understanding of international development frameworks and environmental policy processes
Familiarity with sustainability standards and frameworks such as: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, UN Guiding Principles
Knowledge of emerging environmental and social issues, including climate change, natural resource management, biodiversity, and sustainability
Understanding of regulatory environments and environmental governance frameworks in the United States and/or Latin America
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing
Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within project teams
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work products
