About the role
- On-site health & safety consultant for a technology sector client
- Delivery of Health and Safety services and Incident and near-miss management including stop-work intervention.
- Confirm that Health and Safety legal compliance requirements are understood, control programs are in place and that compliance is monitored during construction activities.
- Provide regular inspection routines to projects to promote safe behaviors, and good conditions and to increase safety awareness across all workers on site.
- Provide feedback on overall health and safety performance to regional leadership.
- Other Health and Safety related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, health and safety or relevant studies
- Minimum 3 years of relevant construction safety experience
- Be passionate about safety performance improvement and having working experience with the following H&S topics: Hazard recognition Incident management On-site construction health and safety planning Job hazard analysis
- Proactive and fast learner, excellent communication skills and good team worker
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with business-level or higher proficiency in both languages.
