About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategic expansion of ERM’s air quality services and client base in the Midwest, focusing on pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
Identify new opportunities, craft winning proposals, and build lasting client partnerships.
Oversee complex air permitting and compliance programs, including NSR, PSD, Title V, NESHAP MACT, EPCRA, and dispersion modeling.
Guide junior staff, ensure quality deliverables, and work with ERM’s global air quality team to share best practices and deliver exceptional results.
Support ERM’s global strategy by contributing to cutting-edge climate and air quality solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/MS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental), environmental science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
4+ years of air quality/compliance consulting experience (7+ years preferred).
Proven expertise in Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT compliance.
Strong business development skills with a track record of securing large contracts.
Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building abilities.
Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
Established relationships with regulatory authorities and major industrial clients in the Midwest/Southeast (preferred).
