Senior Environmental Noise Consultant
ERMSenior Consultant leading environmental noise and vibration projects for a leading sustainability consultancy. Collaborating with teams and clients to deliver technically robust assessments in various sectors.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a key role in planning, delivering, and reviewing environmental noise and vibration projects

- Work directly with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Shape impactful projects while developing your expertise within a supportive, high-performing team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Acoustics or a closely related discipline, plus an acoustics diploma
- Full Member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA)
- Minimum four years’ experience in acoustic consultancy or equivalent
- Strong understanding of acoustic principles and environmental noise assessment
- Ability to plan and conduct acoustic surveys, develop calculations and models, and produce clear, concise technical reports
- Full UK driving licence
- Chartered or Incorporated status is ideal
- Experience providing technical leadership on projects
- Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation, policy, and guidance relating to acoustics
- Experience using CadnaA or SoundPlan
- Familiarity with GIS and/or CAD tools
- UK wind farm noise assessment experience
- Knowledge of underwater noise
- Experience in quality assurance processes
