Managing Consultant, Biologist/Ecologist/Scientist, Lead Wetland Delineator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and execute field‑based wetland delineations and protected species assessments for nationally significant projects
- Shape environmental permitting strategies across renewable energy, oil & gas, power, infrastructure, and technology sectors
- Deliver high‑quality technical documentation, risk assessments, and compliance strategies
- Partner with ERM’s nationwide network of technical specialists to resolve complex environmental challenges
- Contribute directly to ERM’s Impact Assessment practice and long‑term sustainability goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field (minimum 3.0 GPA) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant environmental experience, including wetland delineation, habitat assessments, and permitting
- Strong working knowledge of plant identification, hydric soils, and hydrology indicators
- Demonstrated technical writing, data management, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to travel and perform fieldwork up to 50% of the time
- Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

- Familiarity with NEPA, multimedia permitting, and compliance documentation
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
