About the role

  • Conducting field investigations including soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling
  • Performing aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, monitoring well and soil boring installs, well development, purging and sampling, remedial and wastewater treatment pilot tests, and remedial system O&M
  • Assisting with groundwater and wastewater system performance monitoring
  • Supporting Phase I and II environmental assessments for property transfer transactions
  • Compiling and evaluating environmental data and assisting in report development
  • Preparing environmental compliance documents—work plans, permits, and reports for air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, spill prevention, and wastewater
  • Helping ensure regulatory compliance at federal, state, and local levels
  • Working within established quality, budget, and schedule expectations to meet project requirements
  • Communicating with subcontractors, regulatory personnel, tenants, and clients during field activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interest in fieldwork; ability to stand or walk for full field days
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear technical notes and reports
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented with a problem‑solving, results-focused mindset
  • Ability to multi-task, travel, adapt, and self-manage
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license
