About the role
- Conducting field investigations including soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling
- Performing aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, monitoring well and soil boring installs, well development, purging and sampling, remedial and wastewater treatment pilot tests, and remedial system O&M
- Assisting with groundwater and wastewater system performance monitoring
- Supporting Phase I and II environmental assessments for property transfer transactions
- Compiling and evaluating environmental data and assisting in report development
- Preparing environmental compliance documents—work plans, permits, and reports for air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, spill prevention, and wastewater
- Helping ensure regulatory compliance at federal, state, and local levels
- Working within established quality, budget, and schedule expectations to meet project requirements
- Communicating with subcontractors, regulatory personnel, tenants, and clients during field activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong interest in fieldwork; ability to stand or walk for full field days
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear technical notes and reports
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented with a problem‑solving, results-focused mindset
- Ability to multi-task, travel, adapt, and self-manage
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license
