About the role
- Work closely with clients to develop robust regulatory strategies to help ensure project success
- Manage all aspects of the regulatory process for active substances and formulations with a focus on biological control registrations
- Conduct thorough regulatory reviews to ensure the highest quality
- Actively involved with the preparation of dossiers and co-ordinate projects, including setting up of projects, client liaison and on-time delivery of work to clients and meeting regulatory deadlines
- Provide guidance on EU regulations specific to biological control agents and conventional plant protection products
- Define actions and identify and utilize resources to achieve project tasks or objectives; ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget, that deliverables meet quality standards and that goals are aligned to desired project results
- Understand client’s desired outcomes and work collaboratively to ensure deliverables meet quality standards
- Work closely with clients, representing ERM in client meetings and act as a focal point for selected key clients
- Work with the wider crop protection team of experts to ensure client and regulatory deadlines are met
- Provide client and internal team with support on plant protection product regulations as required
- Assist in the personal development of other members of the team, as appropriate
- Contribute to the commercial growth of the business through actively participating in the wider business development activities such as client visits, conferences and expert groups relevant to expert area, as appropriate
Requirements
- Educated to degree level within chemical or other related disciplines such as biology, biochemistry or microbiology
- Strong working knowledge of EU PPP regulations, including previous contact with national or EU regulatory bodies
- Proven track record in agrochemical or biological control product registration
- Experienced in the preparation of dossiers for plant protection substances, in particular biological controls
- IUCLID experience and knowledge of regulatory agency portals would be advantageous
- Industrial experience in the agrochemical industry would be beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and across discipline
- Strong commitment to delivering high quality work that exceeds clients’ expectations
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols
- Excellent communicator (written/verbal) with the ability to listen, organise and prioritise
- Good, clear presentation skills would be beneficial
- Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to work well with others and passion to help others develop
