Consultant

• ERM is the world’s largest pure play sustainability consultancy hiring a Senior Ecologist to deliver UK Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments
• Role is primarily desk-based supporting the wider UK team across medium to large-scale projects
• Lead from the front as first point of contact for expert BNG advice for colleagues and clients
• Apply terrestrial ecology expertise and UK Habitat Classification System knowledge
• Use experience with the BNG metric and other UK metrics (e.g., SSER Toolkit)
• Develop fee proposals and contribute to higher-level technical writing (e.g., ES ecology chapters)
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and build rapport to ensure BNG requirements are met
• Manage ecological inputs, identify risks and opportunities, balance priorities and plan resources effectively
• Mentor and learn from others to foster team and individual resilience
