About the role

  • Provide onsite client support to address EHS challenges across tech, biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors
  • Perform safety risk assessments/analyses, inspections, and observations to implement effective EHS programs and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Help develop and implement EHS programs in HazComm, IIPP, Chemical Management, Occupational Health, Safety Management Systems, PSM, Industrial Hygiene, and technical support
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and identify/implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage tasks to achieve scope, budget and schedule targets while meeting client expectations on deliverables
  • Collect building material samples for hazardous materials analysis (asbestos, lead, PCBs) and oversee assessment and abatement activities
  • Build collaborative relationships with clients and ERM employees and participate as an enthusiastic team member on projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science degree and/or work experience (2 years of experience is equivalent to 1 year education)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in working with significant private-sector clients
  • Willingness to travel to and be at client site(s) for up to 40 hours/week primarily within the Northern California Bay Area
  • Working understanding of relevant local, state and federal regulations and how they apply to specific industries
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments (tasks and deliverables) concurrently
  • Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver, has project management skills and strong focus on results, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and diverse environment, where support responsibilities may be shared
  • Ability to effectively communicate and send clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and written, with team members, leadership, and client customers including presenting tangible information to management
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction
  • Good team player, especially during challenging situations
  • Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive
  • Effectively and succinctly communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders
  • Driver's License Required
