About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and execute a community engagement plan for Erie in Garfield Park
Identify key community stakeholders and collaborate with Erie colleagues
Identify and develop relationships with staff from peer service providers
Plan and manage outreach events in West Side communities
Utilize technology and tools to track engagement efforts
Represent Erie externally at meetings and events
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school degree or equivalent with three (3) years of community organizing experience; OR Associate’s degree or two years of college, with two (2) years of community organizing experience; OR Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of community organizing experience
One (1) year experience managing community engagement activities or other relevant professional experience in community relations, communications, and project management
Direct, current knowledge of Garfield Park’s communities, human services organizations, and some key personnel
Knowledge of community health services, public health or related fields desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel
