About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic and operational legal support across the organization
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Proactively manage legal risk and safeguard the organization’s reputation
- Partner with senior leadership and provide legal guidance
- Develop governance frameworks and business strategy
- Oversee internal governance frameworks and compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements
- Manage disputes and litigation matters
- Act as liaison with external stakeholders
- Guide and mentor junior legal team members
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- 8+ years of experience in a senior legal role
- Strong experience in commercial matters, M&A, employment, corporate compliance, corporate governance
- Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record of managing complex legal matters
