About the role
- The candidate works well independently and as part of a team, thrives in a small company environment, can work on multiple high priority projects.
- Participate in designing and executing pre-clinical and translational research projects.
- Expected to perform experiments using cellular, biochemical, and molecular based approaches, organize and analyze results, and communicate findings in team meetings.
- Integral in establishing laboratory standard operating procedures and general protocols.
- Laboratory work will involve samples from human and animal (mouse, primate).
- May be asked to perform other scientifically-related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 0-3 years relevant work experience.
- 0-3 years of laboratory experience.
- Experience in cellular immunology and associated techniques is ideal.
- Some flow cytometry experience, preparation of samples, staining with appropriate markers for immuno-phenotyping; analysis of flow data using appropriate software.
- Experience in tissue culture (both primary cells and cell lines) and cell-based assays is required.
- Experience with both ELISA-based assays and multiplex cytokine assays (Luminex, MSD and/or CBA).
- Experience/knowledge of DNA and RNA isolation, protein purification, western blotting, and qPCR.
- The candidate must be well organized and able to work on multiple concurrent projects.
