About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Technical resource to the grid operations, planning, and bulk system variable generation integration and system studies groups
  • Developing analytical models and applying advanced techniques to solve complex issues in power systems operations and planning
  • Performing simulations using tools such as PSS®E and PSLF to validate analytical findings and assess control performance
  • Conduct modeling and simulation-based power system studies
  • Support the development and maintenance/upgrade of software tools for power system analysis, with both traditional analytical methods and AI-based approaches
  • Conduct technical research and analyze information in support of the project team
  • Support application and case studies
  • Assists technical research leads in assessing customer needs, formulating technical approaches, preparing proposals, technical publications/papers, and making presentations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required
  • MS or PhD Degree in Engineering or Sciences preferred
  • Strong programming skills (preferably C/C++ and Python)
  • Experience of using Power System Tools PSSE, PSLF, PowerWorld or other similar software for carrying out the power system studies
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
