About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interim manager sought for "Project One Security".
Support the existing CISO as operational reinforcement to implement defined remediation measures.
Focus on XDR rollout, asset management, SSO/MFA, backup strategy, and continuous penetration testing.
Structure asset management as the foundation for endpoint management, EDR/MDR, and backup.
Support SSO and phishing-resistant MFA taking into account constraints from legacy environments.
Prepare EDR standardization with an MDR service and clarify operational dependencies.
Initialize LLM-based continuous penetration testing and support its rollout.
Standardize the backup strategy and make required prerequisites transparent.
Maintain a structured roadmap, blockers, resource requirements, and implementation progress.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in information security within complex IT, SaaS, or infrastructure environments (approx. 1,000 server systems)
Hands-on experience in endpoint security, XDR, EDR/MDR, asset management, or backup standards
Understanding of SSO, phishing-resistant MFA, and limitations imposed by legacy environments
Implementation experience in remediation programs—not just governance or consulting
Ability to quickly identify technical dependencies and resolve them in prioritized order
Strong communication, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination skills
Excellent German and English skills; certifications are helpful but not required.
