About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigates the cause of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical fields within various sites
- Analyzes failure of mechanical systems
- Participates in catastrophe responses such as hurricanes, tornados, floods
- Performs field investigations and documentation of damaged property
- Prepares accurate, clear reports outlining causes of damages
- Provides deposition or expert testimony for product liability cases
- Manages and works with multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7 years’ experience evaluating mechanical failures
- Skills in analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing, prioritizing, and reporting pertinent information
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exemplary time management and organizational skills
- Sound written and oral communication skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Commitment to confidentiality and to discreetly handle sensitive information
- Ability to work in catastrophic environments for an extended period
- Willingness to obtain additional Professional Engineering Licenses as required
