About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, design, and drive interventions that improve outcomes for smallholder farmers and their communities
Research, analyze, and quantify the potential of solutions to sustainability challenges
Assess and develop candidate interventions and ideas across precision agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, carbon sequestration, microfinance, and related areas
Lead the design, launch, and management of programs
Spend substantial time at origin, in smallholder communities across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, or Asia
Collaborate across the organization and with external partners and stakeholders to build the credibility and relationships that make change possible

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-6 years of experience
At least 2 years in a high-intensity environment (strategy consulting, finance/PE, a VC-backed start-up, or similar)
A university degree in science or engineering (preferred) and ideally 1–3 additional years of experience in a relevant domain
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; familiarity with large datasets; some knowledge of basic statistics and the scientific method; comfort with R, Python (including, increasingly, the ability to use AI tools to code and automate analyses)
The ability to structure complex problems and communicate them clearly and succinctly
A ruthlessly positive attitude
