Senior Consulting Engineer – Generator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a subject matter expert and key resource for power plant consulting projects, focusing on electrical generators, exciters, and auxiliaries.
- Interpret project objectives and develop actionable plans to ensure schedule and hour targets are met or exceeded.
- Prepare for client meetings and lead discussions while demonstrating technical expertise in generator engineering to execute projects independently.
- Assist management with business opportunities, conferences, and training sessions, while interfacing with industry organizations such as EPRI.
- Involved in field project execution, with travel requirements up to approximately 10-15%.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree (or higher) in Engineering.
- 8-10+ years of proven experience in generator design, manufacturing, or service-related roles.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering calculations, assessments, and analyses.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support projects and business development initiatives.
- Professional Engineering licensure and advanced degree (preferred).
