💰 $100,000 - $120,000 per year

About the role

  • Evaluate, enable, and manage the safe and reliable interconnection of DER across the power distribution system
  • Perform essential hosting capacity, protection, power flow, and voltage studies
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of modeling and engineering deliverables across DER projects
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams for seamless integration and efficiency
  • Manage project schedules and develop processes
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and ensure key milestones are met
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and provide direction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electric utility planning
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following: CYME, Synergi, or ASPEN Power Flow
  • Ability to travel up to 5% as required
  • FE/EIT required
  • Experience with large-scale DER studies (1 MW-10 MW), including feasibility studies and system impact studies
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of software automation and scripting
  • Experience creating protective device settings files
  • Understanding of 8760 simulations in LoadSEER or similar software
