About the role
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing the technical aspects of power generation engineering projects, with a primary focus on excitation systems and their related interfaces
- Design, program, commission, and support both hardware and software solutions for excitation systems
- Assist with related areas such as balance-of-plant, instrumentation, control, and electrical design
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors through structured project processes including Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings
- Communicate effectively, troubleshoot issues, and resolve challenges in real time to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in power generation engineering focused on excitation systems, including design, programming, commissioning, and start-up activities
- Hands-on experience with excitation system platforms such as Emerson, GE EX2100e, ABB, Siemens, Basler Electric, or comparable systems
- Strong process understanding of excitation and generator systems, including the ability to interpret and troubleshoot drawings, hardware designs, and process diagrams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation and client-facing reports such as specifications and evaluations
- Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with peers, management, and clients
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20–40% locally and domestically
- Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated to deliver projects on time and within budget.
