About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a comprehensive, hands-on audiology externship experience
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing for pediatric and adult patients
  • Conduct Otoacoustic Emissions testing
  • Perform vestibular testing using VNG
  • Perform electrocochleography (ECochG)
  • Conduct hearing aid evaluations, fittings, follow-ups, and troubleshooting with multiple manufacturers
  • Fit and dispense ear plugs
  • Fit and dispense auditory osseointegrated devices where available
  • Build patient rapport, gather histories, and provide counseling across service areas
  • Attend manufacturer trainings and educational sessions on VNG, ABR, and ECochG
  • Participate in hearing aid acceptance and counseling training, enrichment activities, and departmental trainings
  • Complete regular check-ins with the audiology management team
  • Participate in a multi-round selection process including application review, virtual interview, and in-person site visit
