About the role
- Serve as the strategic and creative hub for all corporate communications, reporting to the CFO
- Create, curate, and disseminate media and investor content such as presentations, website content including engaging graphics and design, byline articles, business reports such as 10K, and other public release materials
- Partner closely with senior leadership to craft and deliver messaging across investors, media, and the broader public
- Develop and lead initiatives to promote and safeguard Enliven’s brand and reputation, managing media relations
- Coordinate communications across internal groups and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and visibility
- Proactively pitch story ideas and secure media placements in relevant publications
- Maintain calendar of events, publications, key timeline dates for material/content creation, announcements, and key social media dates
- Review, edit, and finalize materials to ensure flawless final product
- Assist with investor materials and coordinate IR communications, tracking investor engagement, shareholder activity, analyst sentiment and competitive intelligence
- Closely follow Enliven’s clinical and financial progress to shape corporate narrative and ensure compliant messaging
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree, coupled with an MBA or advanced science degree (MS, MD, PharmD or PhD).
- Experience, however, will be prioritized over any academic credentials
- 10+ years in a corporate communications role in biotech/pharma, with 4+ years’ experience managing PR or communications in a publicly traded biotech/pharma company
- Comprehensive understanding of the biotech industry, ideally with specific depth in drug development and commercial launch for oncology products
- Experience refining PR strategy for clinical stage assets and developing engaging and accurate media content for reflect progress
- Expertise in hands-on creation of engaging digital, traditional media content and is a standout creator of slides and graphics
- Effective prior interface as company representative to patient advocacy groups, payers/providers, and investors
- Highly organized with both their work product and key timelines and PR dates
- Meticulous attention to detail that is shown by flawless final work product
- Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific/clinical and scientific data to external communities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Strong interpersonal skills and superior cross-functional team player with demonstrated success in establishing working relationships within a diverse population.
- Ability to address and resolve conflicts, utilizing mature problem-solving skills and personal authenticity
- Creative approach to communications with significant depth of expertise in traditional and digital media, understanding of business strategies and executive priorities, experience with internal communications
- Highly organized to build and retain in-depth knowledge of a company, business strategies & objectives to develop innovative concepts to promote new ideas
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deliver results within tight deadlines
