About the role

  • Serve as Sustainment Lead or Sustainment SME, providing expert-level guidance on sustainment life cycle management activities for supported programs and projects
  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications across multiple functional domains, including: Finance Accounting Personnel Manpower Logistics Contracts
  • Develop block diagrams and logic flowcharts to support application design and solution architecture
  • Translate detailed design specifications into computer software solutions
  • Design, code, test, debug, and refine computer software to produce required products and functionality
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation, including: Program-level documentation User-level documentation
  • Enhance existing software to reduce operating time, improve efficiency, and support sustainment objectives
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to programmers, as required, to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems, considering: Computer equipment capacity and limitations Operating time constraints Desired form and accuracy of results
