About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage environmental permitting processes, including licenses, authorizations, permit conditions, and monitoring of deadlines and legal obligations.
  • Oversee environmental management of operational wind farms, proposing prevention, mitigation and impact control measures.
  • Plan and monitor socio-environmental programs and actions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and project commitments.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams and related areas, providing technical guidance and supporting the resolution of environmental issues.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and field audits, assessing compliance, risks and suppliers' adherence to requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with environmental agencies, communities and other stakeholders, leading meetings and following up on outstanding issues.
  • Manage environmental suppliers and consultancies, including scope, deliverables, deadlines, costs and quality of contracted services.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Biology or related fields.
  • Advanced experience in environmental permitting, socio-environmental programs, environmental indicators and monitoring.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ISO 14001, cost analysis, budgeting and technical project management.
  • Advanced proficiency with computer tools (word processors, spreadsheets, presentation software).
  • Intermediate English and basic knowledge of geoprocessing/GIS data.
  • Technical knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts across the various phases of power generation projects.
  • Proactive, organized and autonomous profile with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across different demands.
