About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Controls Engineer will be responsible for implementing advanced Smart Building control solutions for EMC clients and potential clients.
  • This position will play a key role in executing projects and programs which deliver significant Return on Investment (ROI) opportunities for customers.
  • The person will be one of the key technical controls engineers and will work closely with field teams, customers, and multiple departments at EMC to help get projects installed in the field.
  • This role will include, but is not limited to, integrating disparate building control systems, leveraging strong HVAC/lighting and building automation system knowledge to develop local stations that unlock ROI centered solutions for national accounts, and developing expertise in the existing business processes and tools at EMC.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering and/or another related field
  • 5+ years of system engineer or system integrator with experience with at least one (1) controls platform
  • 5+ years in the building automation systems industry
  • 5+ years of HVAC Automation/Controls Engineering or Data Analytics experience
  • Programming proficiency with Niagara based systems, including but not limited to N4
  • Experience with Niagara software and computer coding languages such as JavaScript, HTML
