About the role
- Conducting financial analysis on a portfolio of counterparties
- Assess credit risk and work closely with commercial and legal teams
- Negotiate credit language in different types of master power agreements
- Monitor the credit quality of a portfolio using financial statements and industry research
- Continuously monitor industries for outsized risks and recommend credit limits
- Request and manage collateral as needed
- Produce daily reports to inform decision makers
- Maintain systems and databases with relevant credit data
- Anticipate, make, and meet margin calls
- Develop relationships internally and externally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, math or related technical fields
- Two to four years related experience or equivalent
- Familiarity and interest in energy commodities trading
- Prior credit and energy industry experience are a plus
- Acute attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Unlimited curiosity and willingness to ask questions to understand complicated issues
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Accountability for work product and ability to adapt and learn in a dynamic market environment
- Ability to make quick but accurate decisions under pressure and escalate when needed
- Self-Starter who enjoys new challenges
