About the role
- ENERCON's Data Center Group is seeking a Project/Program Manager to lead design build engineering projects for equipment replacement
Lead design build engineering projects for equipment replacement, collaborate with the client, engineering, and GC teams, and manage all aspects of project execution, including schedules, risk management, and financial health
Drive client satisfaction through effective communication, high-quality deliverables, and strong relationship-building, while overseeing the work of engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes
Develop comprehensive replacement plans, risk management strategies, communication plans, and work breakdown structures to ensure smooth project execution
Oversee the implementation of the replacement program, coordinate tasks of engineers and contractors, and maintain budget and schedule
Oversee project schedules, apply advanced scheduling tools, and manage the financial health of projects, ensuring timely reporting and performance tracking
Manage engineers, designers, and subcontractors, ensuring quality deliverables, while supporting internal standards and resource management
Build and maintain relationships with equipment vendors, manage procurement process, coordinate between engineers/contractors and the vendor
Maintain strong client relationships, manage project scope, and support marketing efforts, including proposal preparation and identifying new opportunities
Plan, implement, and supervise client/vendor contracts, ensuring successful project execution, while traveling to client facilities as needed
Requirements
- Typically requires 6+ years of experience in the engineering sector as a project manager or construction manager
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar OR PMP Certification and 10 years applicable experience
Knowledge of Data Center systems and equipment
Capable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneously
Experienced in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and review
Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
Strong coordination and team building skills
Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
Ability to read and write technically and coherently
Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
Working knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel between 10%-15% of the time which may include fieldwork; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs
