About the role

  • Data integration & system connectivity: Integrate various data sources into the energy management system (e.g., building management systems, meters, sensors, APIs).
  • Import, transformation and validation of energy data.
  • Set up automated data pipelines for continuous data collection and processing.
  • System configuration & parameterization: Configure and adjust system parameters according to technical specifications or project requirements.
  • Configure dashboards, KPIs, alerts and reporting features.
  • Test and validate system functionality in staging and production environments.
  • Create technical documentation and configuration records.
  • Technical connection, configuration and commissioning of IoT devices (e.g., gateways, sensors, controllers).
  • Ensure network connectivity and protocol compatibility (e.g., Modbus, ISO TCP, OPC UA).
  • Firmware updates, device monitoring and fault diagnosis.
  • Technical support within the project team (no customer contact): analyze technical requirements and translate them into concrete integration steps.
  • Troubleshooting at system and data level.
  • Close collaboration with software developers, product teams and internal project managers.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable field.
  • Experience working with energy management systems, building technology or IoT platforms is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of network technology and industrial communication protocols.
  • Analytical thinking, a structured working style and strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Self-organized work approach without direct customer contact.
