About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the design, development, verification of assigned mechanical components
- Maintain working knowledge of mechanical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Recommend proper procedures, processes, templates, and tools to perform tasks
- Provide technical assistance for the building and testing of new products and systems
- Review mechanical drawings and designs for adherence to specifications
- Perform detailed mechanical or fluid calculations as required
- Write mechanical performance requirements for product development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person")
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or related field required or at least 10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of mechanical component design or manufacturing experience preferred
- 3+ years of CAD software related work preferred
- Extensive knowledge of computer equipment (PC, firewall, switch, data acquisition systems, UPS, server rack equipment, etc.) preferred
- Basic knowledge of harsh mechanical environments preferred
