About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate one or more student academic functions, such as admissions, financial aid, registration, or student placement
- Advise and coach current students toward academic and professional goals
- Support academic course selection and degree progress
- Maintain and update advising-related forms and materials
- Compile and analyze course enrollment data to track trends and determine demand
- Plan and develop communications, materials, and events for targeted audiences
- Collaborate with the registrar on degree tracker updates, troubleshooting, and degree clearance processes
- Oversee processes for students changing academic careers or transferring from the institution
- Represent the school on university-wide committees
- Assist with study abroad processes, including application review, course transcription, and grade entry
- Build relationships with partner schools through national conferences
- Assist with planning and execution of large-scale events
- May supervise clerical personnel
- Perform related responsibilities as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business administration, higher education, counseling, or related field
- Five years of experience in advising, registration, student affairs, or a related field at an institution of higher education
