About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform specialized and complex research and laboratory tests and procedures under minimal supervision
- Apply or adapt scientific techniques using independent judgment
- Assist in protocol design

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and two years of research experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
- Ability to perform specialized and complex research and laboratory tests and procedures
- Ability to apply or adapt scientific techniques using independent judgment
- Ability to assist with protocol design
- Ability to investigate and propose alternative experimental procedures
- Ability to plan and schedule research procedures
- Ability to analyze and interpret study results
- Ability to demonstrate and train others in laboratory techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine repair and maintenance of equipment
- Ability to review scientific literature and compile findings
- Ability to monitor laboratory processes for quality assurance
- Ability to record, compile, and analyze data and prepare charts and graphs
- Ability to monitor handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances
- May be required to work with, take precautions against, and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents
