Perform specialized and complex research and laboratory tests and procedures under minimal supervision
Apply or adapt scientific techniques using independent judgment
Assist in protocol design
Investigate and propose alternative experimental procedures for consideration by a principal investigator
Plan and schedule research procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and two years of research experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Ability to perform specialized and complex research and laboratory tests and procedures
Ability to apply or adapt scientific techniques using independent judgment
Ability to assist with protocol design
Ability to investigate and propose alternative experimental procedures
Ability to plan and schedule research procedures
Ability to analyze and interpret study results
Ability to demonstrate and train others in laboratory techniques and equipment operation
Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine repair and maintenance of equipment
Ability to review scientific literature and compile findings
Ability to monitor laboratory processes for quality assurance
Ability to record, compile, and analyze data and prepare charts and graphs
Ability to monitor handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances
May be required to work with, take precautions against, and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents
