About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and assist supervisors and managers with negotiation, administration, and preparation of contracts for construction, maintenance, and/or consulting services
  • Prepare contract terms, identify services, timing, restrictions, and bid-process requirements
  • Ensure contracts adhere to Emory and Campus Services policies and procedures
  • Assign contract numbers and enter contracts into the work management system
  • Track payments against contracts and change orders
  • Receive and enter contract invoices into Emory's Procurement Services system and Campus Services work management system
  • Verify invoices are within the scope and value of contracts
  • Ensure proper accounting for contract expenses
  • Follow up on needed corrections
  • Research and answer contract-related questions from vendors, supervisors, managers, and Payment Services
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two years of college coursework
  • Four years of related contracts or administrative experience, preferably in a facilities environment
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted
  • May require a valid Georgia driver's license
  • May require an insurable driving record
  • Must reside in the state of Georgia
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
  • Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm shift
