About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the Morningside Center’s daily operations
- Work with the Director, staff, co-founders, and consultants to develop projects and keep them on track
- Assist with planning and monitoring project budgets
- Participate in calls with subject-matter experts to plan future projects and directions
- Organize events and meetings
- Support contracts and collaborations within and beyond Emory
- Help develop internal grant RFPs
- Coordinate peer review and reporting, including use of an online tool
- Prepare reports for funding agencies
- Help faculty and staff navigate Emory’s research process
- Set short- and long-term goals with Morningside personnel
- Serve as a liaison with other university departments
- Represent the Center at meetings and events
- Maintain the Morningside website
- Grow the Center’s visibility through social media and patient advocacy
- Assist with planning conferences related to Morningside’s interests
- Take on other related responsibilities as the Center grows
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management
- Program or project management experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with clinical protocol development, personnel budgeting and IRB approval is a plus
- Willingness to learn Emory's research process
- Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location
