About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Morningside Center’s daily operations
  • Work with the Director, staff, co-founders, and consultants to develop projects and keep them on track
  • Assist with planning and monitoring project budgets
  • Participate in calls with subject-matter experts to plan future projects and directions
  • Organize events and meetings
  • Support contracts and collaborations within and beyond Emory
  • Help develop internal grant RFPs
  • Coordinate peer review and reporting, including use of an online tool
  • Prepare reports for funding agencies
  • Help faculty and staff navigate Emory’s research process
  • Set short- and long-term goals with Morningside personnel
  • Serve as a liaison with other university departments
  • Represent the Center at meetings and events
  • Maintain the Morningside website
  • Grow the Center’s visibility through social media and patient advocacy
  • Assist with planning conferences related to Morningside’s interests
  • Take on other related responsibilities as the Center grows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management
  • Program or project management experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with clinical protocol development, personnel budgeting and IRB approval is a plus
  • Willingness to learn Emory's research process
  • Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location
