About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate and respond to cyber incidents within the network environment
- Collect and analyze data from security monitoring tools, intrusion detection alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs
- Recommend and document information security requirements and controls
- Provide guidance on information security policies, requirements, and their applicability
- Participate in incident response, risk assessment, risk management, vulnerability assessment, and vulnerability management activities across multiple business units
- Participate in information security projects and initiatives
- Perform operational tasks supporting intrusion detection and prevention, security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and security incident prevention and remediation
- Support, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance security monitoring and response tools, methodologies, software, and hardware
- Analyze information security tool data and provide reports and recommended response actions to management
- Publish regular status reports and submit them to management
- Establish operational plans and develop and implement products, processes, standards, or operational plans impacting functional results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and three years of related IT experience, including demonstrated technical knowledge in multiple information security domains, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Excellent task management and team participation skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, intrusion detection and prevention, threat intelligence, and security operations
- Technical knowledge across cloud and on-premise environments
- Ability to analyze intrusion detection alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs
- Ability to support, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance security monitoring and response tools, methodologies, software, and hardware
