Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative support for general management, a research environment, or a specific program
  • Ensure office activities comply with Emory policies and procedures
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls
  • Maintain calendars and prioritize management meeting requests
  • Review incoming correspondence and prepare routine responses
  • Complete forms, grant applications, and program correspondence as needed

  • Initiate, process, and maintain records and invoices
  • Keep management apprised of account status and identify cost-effective solutions
  • Monitor or maintain budgets and grants and prepare expense reports and reimbursements
  • Plan and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets, analyze data, and generate reports
  • Establish and organize files and documents
  • Oversee ordering and maintenance of office supplies
  • Supervise or direct support staff and/or students as needed
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalency of a high school diploma and five years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as OneDrive, Zoom, Teams, and/or others
  • Tasks generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location
