About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the training mission of the APA- and PCSAS-accredited Clinical Psychology doctoral program
  • Provide clinical supervision to doctoral practicum students in evidence-based psychotherapy and cognitive assessment
  • Provide counseling and psychotherapy to meet the needs of a select population
  • May provide clinical supervision to psychology and social work interns and psychiatric residents
  • Serve as a professional resource within the community
  • Collaborate with clinical faculty to ensure supervision is developmentally appropriate and aligned with training competencies
  • Participate in case conferences, training meetings, and program activities as needed
  • Contribute to a welcoming, professionally excellent training environment
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate in counseling/clinical psychology
  • Two years of psychological counseling experience
  • Licensed as a Psychologist or license eligible in Georgia
  • Competence in evidence-based psychotherapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, or related modalities
  • Competence in comprehensive cognitive assessments across the developmental span
  • Experience supervising or training graduate-level clinicians
  • Experience in a university training clinic or academic medical setting
  • Familiarity with APA accreditation standards and practicum training requirements
  • Interest in or experience with multicultural and diversity-affirming clinical practice
  • Competence in treating mood, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment-related difficulties
