About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and analyze research data using statistical methods
- Assist researchers in developing study protocols and computer analyses
- Manage computer systems, write programs, and train others in system use
- Provide statistical expertise in study design and data analysis for clinical or experimental studies
- Contribute to data collection instrument design, study design, database management, statistical programming, data analysis, statistical graphics, and report writing
- Consult with investigators to determine research questions and required data
- Determine and conduct appropriate statistical analyses
- Interpret and present data descriptions and analysis results, including statistical techniques, assumptions, and generalization of results
- Document methods and results in interdepartmental memoranda and reports
- Perform related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Ability to develop and analyze research data using statistical methods
- Ability to develop study protocols and computer analyses
- Experience managing computer systems and writing programs
- Ability to provide statistical expertise in study design and data analysis
- Knowledge of database management, statistical programming, statistical graphics, and report writing
- Ability to interpret statistical results, explain methods and assumptions, and generalize findings
- Ability to work within a group setting
- Primary work location must be within approved U.S. locations; New Jersey, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and locations outside the United States are not approved
- Eastern (EST) time zone business hours may apply
