About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with disease intervention services by researching resources within countries and developing country profiles
- Collect data, maintain databases, conduct data quality checks, and prepare reports
- Research needed resources to support countries
- Coordinate communications with countries and implementing partners
- Maintain and update ITI databases, including coordinator contacts, drug application status, and country program information
- Prepare trachoma reporting forms and azithromycin donation requests and upload returned materials into the database
- Review and track trachoma reporting data submitted by Ministries of Health
- Act as a communications liaison with internal and external partners
- Support country data audits
- Prepare for Trachoma Expert Committee meetings and provide project management and operational support
- Proofread, format, quality-check, and coordinate printing of TEC books
- Support planning and logistics for specialist meetings and events
- Manage Program Team meetings, including calendar invitations, agendas, and note-taking
- Update project management tools and compile information for reports and presentations
- Edit and maintain program documents, templates, reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Provide technical support to Ministries of Health and national programs in up to three countries
- Support annual azithromycin applications, SAFE implementation plans, country drug requests, supply coordination, and Memoranda of Understanding
- Assist in editing shapefiles for the global trachoma program using ArcGIS Pro
- Perform other ITI program-related duties and participate in Task Force projects and initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in public health or related scientific field from an accredited school
- Master's degree in public health preferred
- French or additional language proficiency is an advantage
- Strong demonstrated attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, ArcGIS, and database management
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
- Work experience with Low- and Middle-Income Countries is an advantage
- Must reside in the state of Georgia
- Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule
- Ability to travel 15–20% domestically and/or internationally
