About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a lead expert in sponsored research accounting and financial analysis
Process grants and contracts post-award
Assist in developing policies and procedures for research accounting practices
Provide policy and procedure interpretation to academic departments
Assist in preparing reports for federal and sponsoring agencies
Review contracts and update database records
Create and maintain grant and contract files
Prepare invoices
Monitor accounts receivable and deliverable reports
Develop queries and reports on the financial system
Work with division business managers to resolve contractual issues
Communicate with sponsors
Ensure compliance with contract regulations and reporting requirements
Close out contracts
May supervise professional staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
7 years of professional accounting or financial analysis experience
Preferably experience in research/sponsored programs accounting
Must reside in the state of Georgia
Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
