About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide 13 weeks of clinical duty per year in 7-day blocks of overnight shifts from 10pm–7am
- Interpret whole-body acute care imaging for emergency department and inpatient cases
- Read primarily CT, ultrasound, and X-ray studies, with a small MRI component
- Provide remote support to residents working overnight
- Work in tandem with emergency/acute care radiologists and an emergency neuroradiologist
- Participate in clinical and non-clinical divisional activities
- Teach and supervise trainees
- Collaborate with radiologists across the emergency and trauma imaging division
- Support clinical services across seven hospitals, including Georgia’s largest Level 1 trauma center
Requirements
What you’ll need- ABR Board-certified or Board-eligible
- Eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license
- Strong clinical skills across multiple imaging modalities and organ systems
- Interest in acute care imaging
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency and inpatient setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other radiologists
- Preparedness to participate in clinical and non-clinical divisional activities
- Preparedness to teach and supervise trainees
- Fellows completing training in summer 2027 are welcome to apply
- Subspecialty training preferred
