About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversees and implements strategic prospect and portfolio management initiatives.
  • Assists leadership in developing the framework of a principal gift portfolio management program.
  • Implements a research-driven prospect management and tracking program.
  • Conducts regular portfolio meetings with fundraisers.
  • Creates and interprets reports for leadership to ensure timely delivery of principal gift fundraising activity.
  • Develops processes to evaluate principal gift officer portfolios.
  • Provides leadership and guidance related to best practices for prospect development and relationship management.
  • Synthesizes and analyzes prospect data, conducts audits, and monitors data integrity.
  • May manage, train, coach, and mentor staff and provide opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in prospect development, advancement services, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience managing a dynamic prospect and portfolio management program.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with data visualization software and CRM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading and developing staff, working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion.
