Requirements
What you’ll need- PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, evolutionary biology, virology or related
- Background in phylogenetics and/or metagenomics
- A track record of outstanding written and verbal communication
- Superior organizational skills
- Experience working with massively parallel sequencing data
- Experience working on cloud platforms
- Proficiency with command-line Linux/UNIX systems
- Use of basic software engineering practices such as version control
- A history of, or interest in, contributing to open-source software is beneficial
- Experience with wet lab sequencing methods is beneficial.
- Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills
- The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
- Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
