About the role
- Oversee day-to-day study operation including home dialysis patient and caregiver participant recruitment
- Data collection and retention activities
- Tracking study visits/calls and data management
- Develop and update SOPs and related study documents
- Independently perform a wide range of highly technical and complex research and laboratory tests and procedures
- Devise highly specialized research procedures through advanced techniques and equipment
- Provide input to protocol development
- Serve as a technical resource for other research personnel
- Analyze and interpret study results
- Investigate and recommend alternative approaches to improve quality of results
- Train research staff in specialized procedures and theoretical concepts for unique tests
- Recommend new equipment and supplies for specialized procedures
- Provide input into departmental goals and objectives
- Assist in grant and funding application preparation
- Review literature for related research developments and techniques
- Prepare written materials, charts, and graphs for publication or presentation
- Oversee quality assurance of research performed by others
- Monitor handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances
- Perform related responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and four years of research experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- High proficiency and working knowledge of REDCap is required.
- Excellent communication and follow-through are required.
- Human subjects research experience is required.
