About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a surgeon for the Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, Emory Critical Care Center (ECCC) within the Department of Surgery
  • Participate in the supervision, clinical education, training and development of residents
  • Teach and Leadership of Emory students and trainees
  • Participate equitably with general surgery and emergency general surgery call at the EUH campus
  • Develop academic portfolio in alignment with SOM goals
  • Participation in hospital and health system quality initiatives and relevant committees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Board Certified General Surgeon
  • While not a requirement, additional fellowship training in trauma, critical care or an accredited acute care surgery fellowship will be considered favorably
  • A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
  • A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate
