About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the execution of high priority strategic initiatives that advance the mission of the Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • Ensure that strategic initiatives are well defined, operationally feasible, tracked effectively, and aligned with NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center expectations
  • Collaborate with faculty, clinical leaders, program administrators, shared resources, and institutional partners to turn strategic goals into measurable progress
  • Coordinate the day to day implementation of the Cancer Center's strategic initiatives across research and clinical missions
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable work plans, deliverables, milestones, and timelines
  • Manage cross functional workstreams supporting strategic initiatives such as scientific program development and recruitment; clinical trials strategy and accrual growth; multidisciplinary care enhancements; and data integration and research infrastructure improvements
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and tracking systems that measure initiative progress and impact
  • Monitor adherence to NCI expectations for comprehensive cancer centers and support data collection for CCSG submissions
  • Facilitate communication between initiative leads, faculty, clinical teams, research administration, and external collaborators.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Biology, or related field required
  • Master's degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, MS) preferred
  • Three years of experience supporting strategic initiatives, project management, research administration, clinical operations, or organizational strategy
  • Experience in an academic medical center, cancer center, or research environment preferred
  • Familiarity with NCI CCSG requirements is an advantage.
