About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the business unit-facing facility operations
Ensures a positive facilities experience for students, faculty, and staff
Oversees negotiation of contracts for safety, environmental, and maintenance solutions
Manages operating budgets as well as maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair activities
Directly supervises a staff of six with indirect supervision of approximately 500 employees
Addresses all emergency situations arising in the facilities area
Assists with projects and organizational structure to meet changing conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field
Ten years of experience in building operations and maintenance
Progressive, demonstrated management/supervisory experience
A working knowledge of capital construction and federal, state, and local building codes
