Support the transition of new students and actively engage parents and families with Oxford College
Oversee curriculum development and implementation of the Learning to Lead course, including developing curriculum, faculty recruitment and training, assessment, and managing sections
Coordinate the Own Oxford pre-orientation program and serve on the New Student Orientation planning committee
Recruit Oxford Welcome Leaders (OWLs) and Peer Assistance Leaders (PALs); develop and facilitate comprehensive training rooted in the Social Change Model
Supervise summer orientation intern and oversee parent and family programs including Family Weekend and family newsletters
Coordinate Student Leader Training and Leadership Oxford program, including Sophomore Leader training
Perform administrative duties including managing annual programmatic budget, preserving relevant documents, and maintaining relevant website content
Serve on cross-campus committees and collaborate with the Advising Support Center on transition activities to the Atlanta campus
Evaluate the success of programs, compile and produce publications, and prepare operational and statistical reports
Manage Student Center operations and facilities (audio-visual coordination, setup, marketing/digital signage, facility standards)
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and schedule Student Center staff; create manuals and training checklists
Provide informal counseling and support to students and connect resource documents for students' needs
Attend bi-weekly staff meetings, monthly Campus Life meetings, and regular one-on-one meetings with supervisor
Requirements
A master's degree in student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or a related field
Two years of related professional experience, particularly in areas of orientation, transition and retention
Experience in orientation, transition, and retention programs
Ability to perform position tasks in-person at an Emory University location (Primarily On Campus)
Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising Orientation Leaders and student staff
Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation
