About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversees core administration and daily operations for all educational training programs within SOM
  • Leads the implementation of key business and strategic initiatives
  • Directs the planning, development and monitoring of all program-related budgets
  • Oversees revenue/expense reporting, forecasting and reconciliation procedure
  • Develops both short and long-term programmatic goals and objectives
  • Collaborates with SOM space/facility management staff to meet space needs of educational programs
  • Works closely with IT to develop plans/projects and policies for educational programs
  • Assists in the preparation and review of external UME, GME, and health professions contracts
  • Develops and reviews policies related to medical education across programs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or related field
  • Ten years of related experience, including direct supervisory or managerial experience
  • A master's degree is preferred
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Complex project management experience
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative) essential
  • Higher education, healthcare, or not-for-profit experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
