Manage the life cycle from purchase to delivery at Overseas Offices, handling planning, sourcing, vendor coordination, transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery
Serve as subject matter expert for supply chain and ensure compliance with export/import regulations, sanctions, licensing, and dangerous goods handling where applicable
Analyze and develop supply chain processes and identify opportunities to streamline operations
Liaise with Programs and country offices to procure materials and ensure timely delivery at overseas offices
Pack and re-pack supplies and prepare shipments for temperature-sensitive, fragile, or hazardous materials
Lead import of lab samples and other items into the US, adhering to CDC, USDA, and FDA import requirements for biological materials
Report to the Supervisor, Contracts and Procurement and provide support to other Overseas Offices projects as needed
Travel may require Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT)
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field, and two years of experience in the export of materials and supplies, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database applications, and cloud-based applications and software
Ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist
May require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record
Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) may be required due to travel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; French is a plus
Demonstrated experience in importing and exporting goods out of the United States
ASCM or SOLE certification preferred
Previous experience working internationally with NGOs, especially in low-resource or conflict-affected settings
Demonstrated experience in procurement and working knowledge of e-procurement software
Experience with cloud-based procurement, supply chain management and inventory management applications
Dangerous Goods Certification preferred
Experience coordinating temperature-controlled shipments and lab sample imports/exports
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
