Postdoctoral fellow position in the Sonenblum Clinical Research Group at Emory School of Nursing focused on pressure injury prevention and healing
Research combining non-invasive imaging technologies, deep learning, computer vision, and clinical workflow integration
Helps design and conduct research while receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator to enhance professional skills and research independence
Designs and evaluates experiments and develops new ideas to promote current research
Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator
May operate specific equipment, teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff
Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee; initial appointment is one year, renewal expected, appointments cannot exceed five years
Requirements
Ph.D. (or equivalent) in biomedical engineering, nursing, computer science, data science, or related field (preferred)
Strong analytical and programming skills
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Experience with one or more of: machine learning, medical imaging, or clinical research
Interest in translational research and clinical implementation
A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field (minimum)
Ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues
Residency in the state of GA and ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
